81 Films In 4 Months

Ever since I purchased my MacBook Pro, thus starting fresh in the world of personal computers, I set out to manage my data properly and responsibly.

After organizing my files, I set out to expand my media vault. Haven’t seen quite a few of those, what are your favorites?

  2. K A says:

The Seventh Seal is my favorite movie of all time. Then 8 1/2 (but I already own that on DVD, so its not in the list)

I havent seen a lot of these yet either – I knew about the vast majority, but others are totally new. I pretty much went berserk after art house :) ))) starting with the Wikipedia page for art house cinema, ha! Just went down the list and downloaded.

Blow Up by Antonioni is interesting!
Altered States is crazy (80s film though)
Beauty and the Beast (Jean Cocteau’s! The original!) is be-a-u-ti-ful! lovely.
Holy Mountain is OFF the hook – every scene is more bizarre than the one before it. Jodorowsky really did something magic there.
In the Mood for Love is such a heartbreaking film, but beautiful and touching in ways I can’t explain!

You have great taste, I’m going to have to start renting movies from you now, as long as you don’t have rediculous late fees of course :p

  4. K A says:

What a great idea in these recession-laden times!

  5. Charlotte says:

I’ve only seen 14 of these.
Being John Malkovich (one of my favorite movies ever)
    Belle de Jour
    Chinatown
    Eye Wide Shut
    Full Metal Jacket
    Good Will Hunting
    Grave of the Fireflies
Inland Empire (didn’t like this one much at all, David Lynch has lost it… Justin Theroux was the best part of this movie and he wasn’t in it nearly enough!)
    Lawrence of Arabia
    Lost in Translation
    The Graduate
    The Seventh Seal
    Vertigo
    Wings of Desire

My movie collection is quite extensive though. I could recommend you some but I don’t know what you like or have already seen. Chances are though if it’s a film I like, it’s probably art house cinema :)
